COMPANIES WHO GIVE BACK
Giving back to the community is a win/win for any company that has grown to the level where it has profit to share. Finding the smartest way to give is just as important as choosing the right strategies for investing and growing the company.
These donors include manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. The goods are a part of a distribution network consists of thousands of charitable partners including animal supply stores, animal welfare organizations, and other sources.
Giving back means we can spread what matters the most- The Caring For One Another!
HOW OUR SERVICES BENEFIT THE HOUSEHOLD
-
By providing these products to households, it helps with costs by freeing up some expenses to focus on other expenses such as utilities, food, and rent.
-
(FAMs) are provided with nutritional meals and other supplies to help ensure the prevention of surrender, abandonment, malnutrition or starvation.
TYPES OF GOODS
RESCUES ON85TH receives goods from these PAWSOME! companies and manages excess, re-branded, and short-dated food and supplies. Goods include, but are not limited to dog and cat food, litter, toys, bedding, bowls, robotic cleaning devices and products, and many more. We do not just have dog and cat supplies, we come across reptile, rabbits, hamster, and yes even horse supplies.
When we have these specialty item(s) available we post them to the community to those in need...
HOW WE CHOOSE LOCATIONS
Food banks is a network collect, sort, and store food donations and distribute food to local food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and meal programs. Food pantries in the network then distribute the food directly to individuals and families in their communities.
We choose to partner with food pantries as households have been identified as having food insecurities.
RESCUES ON85TH then surveyed households requesting assistance from these food banks and found that those having cats and/or dogs residing with them, also struggled to feed their cat and/or dog.
We also found that many households shared their food with their (FAM) Furry Family Member. Human food may lead to poor nutritional balance or worse for (FAMS) Furry Family Members. We serve the community and do not limit our organization to food banks but distribute to various location where there is a need.
HOW WE WORK
Products are shipped from all over the United States to pickup locations. Although these products are donated by companies, RESCUES ON85TH Pays freight costs and truck rental costs to deliver these products to those in need.
We are a volunteer-based organization and process and review applications, load and unload trucks for distribution to communities struggling with food insecurities.
We depend on public financial support to continue our operations.
SUPPORTIVE MARKETING
2019-2020 American Pet Product Association (APPA) National Pet Owners Survey found it may be the case that people who adopt cat(s) and/or dogs “without support” are either not exposed to services other than surrender or are not aware of such services, such as animal pantries, low to no cost vaccination and/or spay and neuter services due to poor marketing. We make sure we cover ever social media platform; we additionally have an event calendar on our website, and notify applicants via email and/or text.
